«Botvinov and Friends»: Ilva Eigus
The renowned pianist and festival director Alexey Botvinov is launching a new concert series "Botvinov and Friends" in Zurich. The aim of the project is to bring classical music to a young and broad audience at a high level in an innovative and traditional way.
In the first concert of the cycle, Alexey Botvinov will perform together with the 17-year-old violinist Ilva Eigus, one of the most exciting young talents in Switzerland. Ilva Eigus made her debut as a soloist with an orchestra at the age of eight and has since performed in prestigious halls such as the Grosse Tonhalle Zurich, the Victoria Hall in Geneva and the Mozarteum Salzburg. She plays the historic "Omobono" Stradivari from 1707, on loan from the Habisreutinger-Huggler-Coray Foundation.
Alexey Botvinov has performed in the best concert halls in 48 countries around the world. In October 2024, he was honored in Paris by the French Société Arts-Sciences-Lettres with their platinum medal.
