The last sounds of this year's festival will take us to Ukraine. Two years ago, as part of the virtual edition of POLIN Music Festival, Alexey Botvinov from Odessa played for us. This outstanding pianist is the creator of the Odessa Classics festival. Ever since the war broke out, Botvinov has been running his festival in exile: on the most important concert stages in Europe, he reminds us - "Ukraine has been deeply affected". On Sunday evening, Odessa Classics will visit our stage. The Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw will be conducted by its artistic director Michał Klauza. Alexey Botvinov will perform, for the first time in Poland, Piano Concerto No.3 "Ave Maria" by Alemdar Karamanov - an outstanding composer associated with Crimea. The concert will be opened with the Polish premiere of Paul Ben-Haim's Symphony No.1. The composer intended it to be the first symphony for the future Jewish state. The program of the evening will be completed by the Polish premiere of "Yiddish Concerto", composed by Laurent Couson especially for Michael Guttman.
