Romantic Piano - open-air to the Independence Day of Ukraine
On Sunday, 24 August 2025, Ukraine’s Independence Day, world-renowned pianist and Odessa Classics Festival President Alexey Botvinov will perform a matinée concert open-air in Parco Ciani Lugano. The concert program "Romantic Piano" will include masterpieces by Chopin, Bach, Beethoven, Glass and Ukrainian composers Silvestrov and Karamanov.
Alexey Botvinov is an exceptional pianist, musical innovator and producer. The most acclaimed Ukrainian pianist, Botvinov performed in 48 countries. Peoples’ Artist of Ukraine, in his country’s press he is described with words like “symbol of high spirit” or “true mark for authentic sense of music”.
2020 Botvinov became a “Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy”, conferred by the President of Italy, and in the same year received the “Swiss Wilhelm Tell Award-2020” from the Swiss government. 2024 Botvinov was awarded The Platinum Medal from the French Arts-Science-Lettres Academy in Paris.
