THE LIVING CANVAS — A Painter, A Pianist, A Prima

The Living Canvas is a live painting inspired by world premiere dance and live piano music.

The evening presents choreographic works by Giorgio Madia, Jorge Garcia Perez, and Ye Lun, accompanied by live visual art created on stage by Nicholas Markman and solo piano performed by renowned pianist Alexei Botvinov. The performance unfolds as a living dialogue between movement, sound, and image.

The production is led by internationally acclaimed soloists Flavio Salamanka (Leipzig Ballet), Jorge Garcia Perez (Ballet Zurich), and Yen Han, joined by dancers of Yen Han Ballet Productions. Together, they represent a collaboration of exceptional artistic quality and international scope.

The Living Canvas is presented as a fundraising performance in support of the Yen Han Ballet Foundation, whose mission is to advance ballet, artistic education, and cross-disciplinary creation. Proceeds from the evening will directly support the Foundation’s educational and artistic initiatives.

This performance invites audiences to experience ballet not only as movement, but as a living canvas where disciplines meet and transform one another in real time.
