Moments of Memory (V) at Wonderfeel fest

New work by Valentin Silvestrov, who writes fantastic music. And his Moments of Memory (V) has released, it made possible also in part by Wonderfeel fest. Silvestrov was guided by the idea of Scheherazade, who survives as long as her creativity keeps flowing.
Valentin Silvestrov composed Moments of Memory (V) on commission from six European festivals: Istanbul Music Festival (Turkey), Wonderfeel (Netherlands), Walden Festival (Belgium), Off the Beaten Path Festival (Bulgaria), Beehoven Fest Bonn (Germany) and Odessa Classics (Ukraine).
The same wonderful works can be heard with Rachmaninov's Trio élégiaque and the atmospheric "Soir" by Mel Bonis, about whom Saint-Saëns could remark at the beginning of the 20th century – imagine, a woman composer! – that she "already knows all the composer's tricks"!
