Piano Recital at Művészetek Völgye

As part of Hungary's largest multidisciplinary arts festival, Művészetek Völgye (Valley of Arts), Alexey Botvinov presents a solo piano programme spanning centuries and styles. The recital opens with Bach's monumental Chaconne in the celebrated transcription by Busoni — a cornerstone of the piano repertoire. This is followed by Valentin Silvestrov's "Messenger," a work of quiet, meditative beauty. The contemporary voice of Mario Beretta is represented by "Lights on the Water." The programme concludes with Rachmaninov: three Preludes, and two vocal miniatures — "Tears" and "Easter Bells" — in Botvinov's own arrangement for solo piano.
