Linus Roth and Alexey Botvinov

April 20th is a date, when a concert - Prelude of the III International musical festival ODESSA CLASSICS will be held in the Grand hall of the Odessa Philharmonic.

Sensational success of Linus Roth (a violin, Germany) who performed "Seasons" of Vivaldi at the opening of ODESSA CLASSICS 2016 evoked a wide response among the Odessa audience and the international guests of a festival. And here comes – a new meeting with Odessa people. The premiere of the musical duet of Linus Roth with the pianist Alexey Botvinov is of special interest. The musicians chose their favorite works for the Odessa concert, including a top of violin romanticism the Third Sonata of Brahms, the real symphony for a violin and a piano – the grand First Sonata of Prokofiev, the XX century neo-classicism masterpiece "The suite in an ancient style" of Schnittke. The Odessa premiere of the masterly "Rhapsody on the Moldavian themes" by Mieczyslaw Weinberg will also appear in the program. It must be noted that Linus Roth is a passionate propagandist of music by Mieczyslaw Weinberg, who was a friend and a colleague of a composer Shostakovich. He recorded the full collection of Weinberg’s works for a violin, with the Berlin Symphonic Orchestra and the other partners. In 2015 Linus Roth founded "International society of Weinberg", his activities to promote the composer’s music find support and respect from the audience as well as from the specialists.

Linus Roth is the owner of the Award "ECHO KLASSIK AWARD" for his debut album at EMI. The musician conducts vigorous concert activity, acting solo and with the leading European orchestras, actively recording new audio-and video disks. Odessa for Linus Roth is "a holy spot for any violinist on the planet". Among his teachers there is a student of the Odessa School of Stolyarsky the cult teacher of nowadays Zakhar Bron.

Alexey Botvinov and Linus Roth are united not only by common favourite pieces of music, but also by a manner of performance - emotional, full of romanticism and powerful feelings. Due to a creative synergy of both musicians we are expected to see an unforgettable concert - a premiere of the creative duet on April 20th in the Odessa Philharmonic hall.
